The AKA clutch dilemma has now been resolved –  The TD Clutch homologation stands ..

It's quite remarkable when you analyze the dealings between the 6th August and the 23rd August - the AKA never had any legal standing in this matter no chance of ever winning !..so what about legal costs - what are they to be .. amounts upward of $15,000 have been reported and the possibility of the individual NKC members being liable for the cock up - from what has been reported and read  a first year law student could have assessed a no win situation within 3 hours of receiving the first legal document in the mail   and acted to save heaps and some standing.

With any number of expert witnesses available to assist you can only guess if any of them were ever called upon. It's a proven fact, from previous AKA actions, that when products are removed and then re-instated as a result of legal or dispute then the sales potential always incurs a downturn or backlash against the item, therein lies a financial dilema as well , it’s no wonder this sporting organisation was termed a "hillbilly outfit" by the then FIA/CIK boss  Ernst Buser  some years back …

nothing appears to have has changed … !.spongebob_5_copy.jpg (1308 bytes)

Meetings_2008.jpg (5585 bytes)

Documents outlining new rules and current changes to competition rules are detailed in released minutes of the AKA meetings held last week end 23rd  August.

A change in administration officers never eventuated – matter of fact, life memberships were handed out, so the punters have chosen to run with the same crowd as before  for more of the same, and endorsed it all. …let us pray !

Governance was the platform of the incumbent President some 3 years ago – ‘done and dusted within first 6 months of my term” was the promise  but we have seen little action other than  the removal of the levy to finance the associations moves to best management practices under Governance, does that say it’s dead ?

Don’t be confused when reading the meetings Minutes – one thing is painstakingly obvious .. money needs to be spent for training people to report things correctly and training to conduct meetings in proper fashion …but if its confusing  to you, then your being pampered , as that is the purpose of the plan ..ever watched Yes Minister …???

Classic case is the Code of Ethics policy .! .notice how it was conducted  “in camera” !  so its first ethos  is to keep it all secret squirrel stuff …!  What a clever use of such a policy  eg:..conduct it “in camera” so no one knows about it  - if you are challenged with not adhering then the opportunity to alter it  “in camera” is available in secret to get you out of the poo poo ! But if it was out in the open then all the events previous would be applicable …that should get some resignations and stripping moving along ..!!

 ”REINSTATED & APPROVED” 24/8/2008.

The ill fated AKA Addendum No: 36, which had the effect of revoking the Tomar TD22 Clutch's homologation/registration, without any stated reason, has now been abolished!!

The American Tomar TD22 Clutch, specifically designed for Australia, has been a subject of controversy of late with the AKA, but this had nothing to do with the clutch itself. The Tomar clutch is back in action, as it deservedly should have been all along, and is now doing well due to its superior construction design, ease of fitment, low cost maintenance, not to forget its overall performance!

“Time will tell” in showing which clutch is superior, as it always does. Ask yourself the question WHY would this clutch be struck from the register if it does everything properly and efficiently and performs to a very high standard? I will let you be the judge, but if you would like more information on this fantastic product you can enquire at Troy Corser Agencies (02) 4297 3944 or email to enquiries@tcaonline.net.

The big news is that the two sacked  AKA & CIK men ( Macca and RV ) showed by example on Saturday evening how to achieve, setting their egos aside they joined forces for the All Nations Yamaha TAG/SEC Challenge event  conducted at Willowbank,  with their combined experience they won their way to Japan for the All Japan Yamaha World Championship in the historic city of Kyoto courtesy of the Yamaha Australia Motor Company.

The  RV prepared Yamaha SEC and  Azzurro R6 chassis combination provided an impeccable performance, the Dunlop SL1 tyres were easy to work and the performance of the SSS Strike clutch was   faultless. The 7 year layoff by the driver was the only concern during the meeting !

Its quite comical that these two blokes are the successful ones, still winning on the track and off the track, but they’re the ones the AKA didn’t want or want to listen to . These two have many International and National achievements between them and the combination again proved successful.

A comment  sought on their paring was put in perspective with the following.....

"We decided we'd see if the knockers in the hierarchy were right and if our day had passed, but there's life in us old dogs yet, and success at that ."

"There's a lot to do before Japan, but we assure you, we are the ones to do it right, and to the best of our abilities, and the result here speaks for itself - we are the ones going places and moving forward"  We certainly appreciate the efforts of the fantastic Yamaha promotion and look forward to representing Australia in Japan in October......

And as for the rest  - in particular the CIK "front men" noted below  ?  Um, how many of them exactly have ever done something equal for the sport in comparison to this promotion by Yamaha and the Ipswich Kart club..??
